National Coaching Certification Program-Coach Initiation in Sport

The Coaching Association of Canada has recently launched a new online module that introduces new coaches to the NCCP. In the module coaches will learn about long term athlete development, ethics, coaches motivation and athlete safety.

Coaches can access the module though the Locker, until August 3, 2017, the module will be free as part of the Canada’s 150 birthday. After August 3, there will be a $15 charge to complete. 
This is a great opportunity to introduce coaches to the world of NCCP and give them additional skills/confidence before starting their coaching careers.

Badminton is the fastest racquet sport in the word, a shuttle can reach speeds in excess of 490 km/hr

Badminton is a highly aerobic sport which can be played throughout one's lifetime.

In a typical two-game match, a player can run approximately one mile.

There are two types of shuttles: plastic and feather which are made with goose feathers. A feather shuttle has 16 feathers and weighs between 4.74 and 5.50 grams.
