Two students from Memorial University: James Poole and Evan Powell, as well as Hannah Steele from the Marine Institute participated in the Yonex Canadian University-College National Championships held in Oshawa, Ontario March 18-20, 2022.

Under the guidance of John Gillam, ChPC, ACD, the players had an opportunity to compete against other university badminton athletes.
This was the first time Badminton NL had participated in this tournament but it is hoped to make this an annual event if there are sufficient MUN/MI badminton players interested in training for this competition.
