Badminton Newfoundland and Labrador, for the past several months, has been working closely with Badminton Canada to deploy a new online player management system which incorporates automated tournament management and a national ranking system for those players competing at a Provincial (including Atlantic Region) and National level. The database as well as the Tournament Planner Software will allow Badminton NL to avail of online tournament registration, online tournament planning, draws and results as well as online payment convenience through the provision of the Tournament Software.

Affiliation and/or membership is mandatory in order to access Badminton NL programming and must be paid before registering for a sanctioned event. Memberships are valid from Septermber 1 – August 31.

As a result, Clubs will required to submit memberships lists to Badminton NL and membershiip info must include First Name, Last Name, Gender, Nationality, Date of Birth and an email address.

Once received the club members will be entered into the system and the members will receive two automated emails. While player registration will be handled by Badminton Newfoundland & Labrador. Players must respond to an auto-generated email to requesting the player create an account within the National Player Database. A second auto-generated email will request that the player confirm the account creation process.

Once this process is complete, Players will be able to register for tournaments using the new Badminton Tournament Planner software via Online Entry. If a player is not defined in the National Player Database, has not created and confirmed their account or does not have a valid 2016-2017 membership the software will block all attempts at tournament registration.

The cost to affiliate your club is $40.

Upon completion of the form you will receive an email with your club details. There will also be a followup email from a Badminton NL representative on how the affiliation fee can be paid.
